Educational endowment insurance
Educational endowment insurance is unique: ERGO is the only insurance company in Estonia that offers regular tuition money with the possibility of survivor's pension.State financed higher education is increasingly being substituted with education for which the students themselves have to pay for. The expenses may even be so high that the wish to get a good education may remain a dream.
Educational endowment insurance is a type of insurance to be used in order to cover the education costs or costs arising when a child starts living independently.
Educational endowment insurance enables the parent to start collecting the school money when the child is born and it gives the parents confidence that the insurance company will pay the child the agreed tuition money in any case, even if the parent has passed away.
In case of educational endowment insurance the money is collected during a long period of time. The sum insured will be payable in monthly tuition fees in the course of six years or in a single amount after the end of the collection period.
The decision as regards the amount of the tuition money will be made by you based on your possibilities and needs. Also, you may decide yourself when the payment of the tuition money begins. Still, by the beginning of the payments the beneficiary may not be older than 25.
